Sensei Narine

Piano & Violin Instructor

Narine Nikoghosyan is a private violin and piano teacher, who received both Bachelor and Master degrees in Music Art from Yerevan State Conservatory of Music named for Komitas. Although her education did not start using the Suzuki Repertoire, Sensei Narine grew up living directly some of the founding principles of the Suzuki Method. With a mother that would attend every lesson and practice with her every day, she grew up seeing the importance of parent involvement in a child's musical education. While still being a student at the Conservatory of Music, she was admitted to State Youth Orchestra of Armenia (SYOA). As a violinist in SYOA, she has performed with world-renowned musicians such as Maxim Vengerov, Vladimir Spivakov, Denis Matsuev, Sergey Kachatryan, Narek Hakhnazaryan etc. After a few months of work in SYOA, she was also invited to play in GOHARAPAYL JAZZ ENSEMBLE, a fourteen-member folk jazz band that toured Germany, Cyprus, UAE and numerous other countries. Her work as a private teacher began in 2014 when her family moved to permanently reside in the United States of America. She has a great passion for mixing her teaching style with the philosophies of the Suzuki Method and believes that music is essential to build self-confidence and develop intellectual abilities in a person. She strives to be able to use her prior knowledge along with the Suzuki Method to further build these strengths, along with the social, emotional, and creative needs of children.
