Sensei Yu-Ting

Violin Instructor

Yu-Ting Huang entered the world of music at the age of 5 through piano. She later found her passion for the violin at the age of 8. After spending many years from middle school to college at an elite Taiwanese professional music school focusing on violin performance, she eventually completed her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the National Dong Hwa University in Taiwan, where she was a student and teaching assistant of Dr. Key-Shu Shen. Upon the completion of her Bachelor’s Degree she moved to America to further her studies and pursue a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance at the University of Tennessee under Dr. Miroslav Hristov with a full scholarship. She has also been a graduate teaching assistant of Professor Daniel Mason, a student of Mr. Jascha Heifetz.

As a top-prize winner of many string competitions, she performed as a Concertmaster of the National Dong Hwa University Symphony Orchestra, and a Concertmaster of the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra.  She has also performed as a Concerto Violin Soloist with National Dong Hwa University Symphony Orchestra, and performed as the first violin section of the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra Concert in the Carnegie Hall, New York City.

With over 11 years of teaching experience in both private and group settings, she has developed a strong passion for developing the future pioneers of the violin. This has led her to her fascination with the Suzuki Method, in which she believes is the best way to teach children especially under 5 years old. As a violin instructor in the Suzuki Academy of Los Angeles, Yu-Ting is excited to meet and share her experience with every new student.
