Sensei Anchi

Piano Instructor

Sensei Anchi started learning piano when she was 4 years old, alongside her mother who was also a music teacher. Through a well established and disciplined approach, these early teachings created an unyielding determination in Sensei Anchi to never stop learning and perfecting her knowledge of music. In addition to piano, Sensei Anchi learned how to play violin when she was 10 years old and developed her vocal skills when she was 16 years old. Sensei Anchi received her Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Fu-Jen Catholic University, Taipei, Taiwan, and her Master’s degree in piano performance from Boston Conservatory, Boston, Massachusetts. Over the past two decades, Sensei Anchi has taught piano at various levels, concentrating more recently in large group classes as well as private lessons for advanced students. In addition, Sensei Anchi’s experience includes serving as the head pianist at the Geneva Presbyterian Church in Canton, Michigan, music director at the Taiwanese Presbyterian Church in Washington D.C., and lead pianist at the Taiwanese Presbyterian Church in San Diego. As an accomplished pianist, Sensei Anchi is eager to combine her experiences with the Suzuki method to instill in students a deep appreciation and understanding of music performance.
